We hope all the participants had a great day at the 2010 Boules on the Green tournament. It is hoped that the event will become an annual fixture.
To help us fettle the event we would love to hear any feedback from you on any aspects of the tournament that you would like to comment on.
Please use the comments on this post, or email us if you prefer.
If you would like to be contacted about any future Boules on the Green events please email us and we will put you on our mailing list.
All the usual promises apply: we won’t publish nor share nor spam your email address !
Note: times are wrong in the festival programme !
The boules tournament will take place on Sunday 13th June with play starting at 10am.
Registration will take place from 9.30, to enable us to get the first games underway on time we would ask that teams arrive promptly with their registration details and of course the £4 team entry fee !
Morning Play 10 – 1.30
Teams will be drawn to play one another, scoring 2 points for a win, 1 each for a draw and zero for a loss.
Afternoon Play 2-4
The top scoring teams from the morning session will go into a round of knockout play offs.
As part of the Winscombe & Sandford 2010 Festival there will be an informal boules tournament held at the Millenium Green on the Old Station at Winscombe.
Watch this space for further details; date, times, entry details etc. will be posted shortly, as soon they are finalised.
It is likely that the organisers of the Boules Tournament would welcome sponsorship from local businesses.
The details of this are not yet finalised, one option would be adverts on the site as shown in the sidebar on the right >>
At the moment these only appear on the news post pages but if we proceed with selling the ads they would of course appear on all pages.
We will announce the proposals once the details have been discussed.
Please contact us if you would like to sponsor the event
I’ve quickly put this site together, as the year rolls on I hope to add some photographs taken at the Millenium Green. for the moment I’ve used some photos found on flickr which have been made available under a creative commons licence. To keep to the spirit of this licence I need to provide attribution links back to the original photographers. read more…
